Tickertown Docs

The complete rules of the city — rounds, settlement, payouts, fees, and the trust model. What is written here is how the game runs.

What Tickertown is

Tickertown renders the stock market as a living 3D city on Robinhood Chain. Each tokenized stock is a tower; real prices drive tower height and glow. Once per trading day, players rent floors on the tower they believe in — the tower whose stock prints the day's highest % gain wins, and its floor holders split the day's pot.

ChainRobinhood Chain (EVM L2, chainId 4663, fees paid in ETH)

Rounds & calendar

  • ·Entries open after the prior market close and lock at 13:30 UTC (NYSE open).
  • ·The round resolves at 20:00 UTC (NYSE close) on official closing prices.
  • ·One winner per trading day: the tower with the highest close-to-close % gain.
  • ·US market holidays: no round. The city shows a countdown to the next session.
  • ·Weekends: paper-only rounds with guest crypto towers (ETH, BTC, HOOD). Points only, same season leaderboard.
Entries lock at market open on purpose. If entries stayed open intraday, late bettors could wait until the outcome was obvious. Everyone bets before the race starts — this is the game's core fairness rule.

Settlement & price sources

Rounds settle on the official close-to-close % change of the underlying equities, taken from two independent published market-data sources. On-chain token pool prices are used for city visuals only — they never decide a round, because thin pools can be pushed around at the close while official prints cannot.

  • ·Both price sources and the resolution procedure are published on this page before real pools open.
  • ·Tie-break: higher % gain at 4 decimal places; if still tied, the pot splits across the tied towers.
  • ·Every resolved round is archived append-only — anyone can recompute any historical payout.

Payout math

All rents across all towers form the day's pot. At the bell, the pot minus rake is split pro-rata among the winning tower's floor holders.

Formulapayout = (your stake / winning tower pool) × (total pot − rake)
Examplepot 4.00 ETH · rake 8% · your 0.10 ETH on TSLA · TSLA pool 1.20 ETH → 0.306 ETH (3.06x)
Min floor0.0005 ETH
HedgingAllowed — you may rent floors on multiple towers in the same round

Fees, rake & burns

Rake8% of the daily pot — or 5% when round fees are paid in $TOWN
Discount deltaThe 3-point difference is burned, not pocketed
Rake split40% buyback-burn $TOWN · 40% treasury · 20% jackpot reserve
WithdrawalsZero fee. Instant below 0.1 ETH, manual review above (published policy)

Buyback-burn transactions are public and linked from the burn ledger. The jackpot reserve rolls into scheduled events such as Triple Pot Friday and season finales.

$TOWN utility

  • ·Fee discount: pay round fees in $TOWN, rake drops 8% → 5%, the difference is burned.
  • ·Billboards: burn $TOWN to display your image on a tower face for 24 hours (moderated).
  • ·Holder tiers — Resident, Landlord, Tycoon: penthouse skins, rooftop names, season badges.
  • ·Season prizes are denominated in $TOWN.
$TOWN never buys better odds, bigger multiples, early entries, or any in-round edge. It buys standing, not power. This rule is permanent.

Tokenomics

Supply1,000,000,000 $TOWN — fixed, no mint authority
Launchpons.family fair launch on Robinhood Chain, WETH pair
LiquidityLocked V3 position from launch — no curve migration, tradable immediately
Trading fee1% — funds operations and early pot seeding
VestingNone. Nothing unlocks, nothing dumps on schedule

Supply only moves in one direction: 40% of all rake market-buys and burns $TOWN, billboard bookings burn 100% of their price, and every fee discount burns the 3-point delta. The flywheel is driven by game volume — if rounds are empty, burns are small. The token tracks real usage by design.

Holder tiers

Visitor (0)Full game access + free daily paper floor — fairness is never gated
Resident (0.1%)Fee-in-$TOWN toggle (5% rake) + badge + floor color accent
Landlord (0.5%)Penthouse skin + rooftop name + season POINTS multiplier (never money)
Tycoon (1%)Animated crown skin + first billboard access + Tycoon lounge + stats API key
Tiers are snapshotted daily on held balance. They grant cosmetics, access, and fee utility — never better odds or bigger multiples.

Custody & trust model

Real-pool play uses an account ledger with on-chain touchpoints at deposit and withdrawal. The pool wallet address is published on this site and verifiable on Blockscout — deposits in, payouts out, in public view. The hot wallet holds a limited float; the treasury remains cold.

  • ·Phase 4 moves entries and payouts into a settlement contract once round rules are battle-tested.
  • ·Free paper play never touches funds and requires no wallet.
  • ·Paper prizes are points and cosmetics only — there is nothing for bot farms to extract.
